Meet needs. Build relationships. Change lives.

Dear Friends, grace, and peace to each of you in Christ Jesus!

We praise God for His faithfulness and kindness to us! We praise Him for the faithfulness of our prayer and financial partners!

We understand the transition to new countries and the challenges of new beginnings. From China to Thailand and transitioning to the States with the heart of a missionary wanting to serve the unreached, we have been seeking the Lord since our return on how He would use us for His glory. In partnership with Daniel and Alice Tarnagda of Refuge Bowling Green, we have worked with refugees and immigrants in the Bowling Green area since our initial move. They have encouraged and supported us, and we have learned much about nonprofit work with refugees and immigrants in the States.

We are excited to share that the Lord is allowing us the opportunity to open an artisan bakery, café, and training center. This is an area we know well as we opened a bakery in China and shared His hope with the people there. We desire to show the love of Christ by providing fair-wage jobs to help refugee and immigrant families rebuild their lives while providing high-end, European, quality baked goods to Bowling Green and surrounding communities.

So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. ~ 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Lord willing, we will sign a lease this week for a location at 729 Chestnut Street in Bowling Green. Following that, equipment and supplies will be ordered, and hiring and training employees will begin.

We have much for which to be grateful. Our board of directors has been vital in helping us through this process, encouraging and supporting us. Your faithful prayers and giving have helped sustain us throughout our years in ministry. We thank the Lord for each of you!

The Harvest Bakery ministry has the potential to be financially sustainable; however, your giving is still valuable as it typically takes three years for most businesses to show a profit. There are various needs for launching this project. If you’re a current financial partner, please continue giving. If you aren’t a financial partner, please consider supporting our nonprofit ministry to help supply paid business and bakery internships and jobs to refugees and immigrants. The Lord has already provided for much of the start-up costs, and we trust He will use many of you to help with the remainder of the bakery needs. You can also give in the following ways:

  • 2 used Commercial Deck Ovens - $3,400 each = $6,800

  • Dough Sheeter (for laminated doughs such as croissants, Danish, etc.) $2,500

  • Dough Proofer (for consistent temperature & humidity for fermenting dough) $1,800

  • 2 20 Quart Mixers @$1,300 each = $2,600

  • Ice Maker $1,600

We desire to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus as we help meet needs, build relationships, and, Lord willing, change lives.

Some things in life are not by choice, but our heart to love and help others thrive under all circumstances is by choice. The Harvest Bakery is transforming lives one “loaf” at a time.

That All May Hear,

Wesley and Kimberly Page
