Dear friends,
Everyone in the world has a longing to have a loving and caring father. In China we knew many children whose fathers left them with their mother or grandparents often due to lack of jobs in order to find work in larger cities. Sadly, there are similarities in Thailand. The lack of fathers in the home is changing society as a whole. Children never know if or when their fathers may return. When fathers do return, it's often for short periods of time such as for a holiday and the hard earned money is often then spent on alcohol. Time with family is spent in a drunken stupor, and their children still don't receive what they need from their fathers. Abandonment, faithlessness and neglect are rising characteristics of families in Northern Thailand.
Prayer for Tai Yuan Families
For Tai Yuan families to hear and understand the Gospel and receive Jesus’ love for them
That Tai Yuan fathers would be responsible leaders of their families
For the hearts of the Tai Yuan children to be protected from the ill effects of absent fathers
Ask God to show Himself as a heavenly Father to these children
