Dear friends,
Greetings to each of you in the name of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for your continual prayers and financial support as we work together to spread the Good News among the people of Northern Thailand.
Since our arrival, the number of Covid cases in Thailand have limited many activities that would allow us to build relationships with local people; however, the government plans to ease restrictions and reopen much of the country in November. We are thankful for:
Permission granted for our school (by following strict rules) to be open for in-person classes.
Our language school is also open with the same rules.
Restaurants, coffee shops, markets, and other shops are allowed to be open.
Potential access to villages next month!
Current Covid life in Thailand: Mandatory masks, temperature checks upon entering most establishments, as well as signing in or scanning a QR code to mark your presence there. There are also traffic checkpoints - masks are required in the car. There are large fines for not following the rules.
Though Covid has limited us, thankfully nothing limits God! Our Northern Thai Team has set a goal to start five new churches in five new tambons (townships) by 2025.
"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." ~ Ephesians 3:20-21
Pray for the people living in these tambons - many who have yet to hear the gospel - to have softened hearts, open ears, and for the Lord to prepare them to receive the gospel when the time comes.
Notice the beautiful coffee beans in the heading above (with the background of the countryside and city). Coffee is becoming more of an industry in Northern Thailand. As the country prepares to reopen, please be in prayer as we consider how coffee can be utilized as a means for ministry opportunity in community development and relationship building.
There is no corner of this earth that God cannot reach. Let our work together glorify His name.
That All May Hear,
Wesley, Kimberly,
Luke, Lydia, Micah and Ezra
